OVERVIEW

Placid Website doesn't require flash knowledge to customize text & change images. The sections have scrollbars and support certain HTML tags.

TEXT CUSTOMIZATION

To modify all content just edit the TXT files included in ZIP archive.
You may use NotePad or any text editor.

&variable=your info
&variable2=your info2
&etc.

You can't change the variable names, only the values. For example :

&sitename=Your Site Name
&copyright=Copyright yoursite.com all rights reserved
&yourmail=yourmail@mail.com
&content1=Content 1
&content2=Content 2
&content3=Content 3
&content4=Content 4
&content5=Content 5
&link1=HOME
&link2=Link 2

A few tips :

- Do not rename the TXT files.
- Find out which HTML tags can be used : Macromedia HTML text formatting
- Encode special characters (ex : & ' %) using the following encoding : Macromedia URL Encoding

IMAGE REPLACEMENT

Unzip all the files and replace the jpg files with your own. IMPORTANT : Use JPEG images that are not saved with the "progressive" option checked. Click here to learn more...

MUSIC/SOUND LOOP REPLACEMENT

Download Macromedia Flash MX and open ds925.fla.

Click on the keyframes illustrated in the image above. Import your own loop or music file (File/Import).

Click on that first keyframe of the "music" layer, and in the Properties panel (Window/Properties - CTRL-F3) you can select the name of the imported sound. File/Publish your movie to see the changes in the browser.
