What is a Flash website template?
A Flash website template is a site that is created using Flash in which the content can be easily modified to fit your needs. The flash object is viewable using the Flash 6 plugin, which you can download here if you do not have it installed for your browser. The content of each page is easily updated using a text file that is included when you purchase a template.

Can I use the free version of a template I like on my site?
Yes, as long as the Conditions Of Use are respected

How do I open a template once I have received it?
You will need a program such as WinZip to extract the files. There are many ways to extract the files you need using WinZip. Right-click on the file and select "Extract to". Another way to unzip files is to first open up the zipped file in WinZip and then click on Extract. You will also need FLASH MX to edit the source files if you need to make any design changes.

What do I receive when I purchase a Flash template?
You will receive all necessary files to run the template. You can download the free version to be sure. The full versions are exactly the same as the free ones, except they have all source files (fla, psd). It is good practice to check out the manual of the template before buying it.

Do I receive the source code (.fla files) with the templates?
Yes, only if the template is purchased.

How much of the content will I be able to update?
All text you see on our templates (buttons, site title, text) can be modified with NotePad or other text editor. Refer to template manual for more information.

Is there a limit to the amount of text I can enter in the content sections?
Absolutely not, you may enter as much text as you want because of the scrollbars.

Do I get web hosting included with the template?
No, but we recommend MediaTemple.com for high-quality hosting solutions.

If I buy a template, do I have exclusive ownership of it?
No. When you purchase one of our templates, you are purchasing a license to use it according to our Conditions of Use. Once you purchase a template, you may use it for your own commercial or personal websites for as long as you want. You can update your site content at any time. You are not authorized to resell it elsewhere as a template.

Can I get a refund and purchase another item I like better?
We do not offer refunds once you have downloaded the template files. Since the goods being purchased are electronic, there is no way to "physically" return the products.

Does free-flash-template.com appear on the template I purchase as it does in the free samples?
No, there is no copyright whatsoever on the site/intro and your visitors won't even know it's a template!

When you reach or exceed the minimum amount of $50.00 US. It may look a lot at first, but when you start spreading the word you will see that our high-quality templates are selling like crazy.

### Troubleshooting ###

The music is slower or different when exported from flash.
This usually happens to templates in which the music mp3 file is changed within the source code (.fla). To improve the quality of the mp3 open the Library (Ctrl-L to open) and find the mp3 file. Right-click and choose Properties. Check the "Use imported MP3 quality" box.

The text, music or external jpg file doesn't show up properly.
Make sure the names of the files are not in capital letters. Do not change the file names in any way, they have to remain identical to the original template in order for the site/intro to function properly. You can only rename the html file.

If the problem persists try accessing the TXT file from within your browser. If you can't, then the flash object can't either. You need to figure out with your hosting provider why you can't access the TXT file.
